Covid-19 Community Health Advocacy

Be Well Health Initiative organised a community health advocacy and COVID-19 vaccination awareness outreach to promote vaccine acceptance and encourage uptake among community members in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Abia State. As part of the initiative, 50 community members were trained as Community Health Advocates (CHAs) and equipped with basic health knowledge and communication skills to educate the public on the importance, safety and benefits of COVID-19 vaccination. The trained advocates participated in community sensitisation activities, engaging residents and encouraging them to make informed decisions about vaccination. The initiative aimed to strengthen community participation in the COVID-19 response and build local capacity to promote public health awareness and vaccine uptake.
